For them, it’s sacrilege, because for them the right approach is to dip into citizens’ pockets and use that money to fund creative, disastrous measures – I’m thinking of the Superbonus. That’s not our approach.” So said the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, via video link at the ‘Festa del Tempo’ event. “They’ll just have to come to terms with it: as far as wealth taxes are concerned, they’ll have to wait for a different government from this one – assuming one ever comes to power. As far as we’re concerned, we’ll continue to work to try to cut taxes, as our programme commits us to doing, and as we have done so far,” added Meloni.
