Naples, 26 Sept. (LaPresse) – In Milazzo (Messina), the Carabinieri have executed two orders for pre-trial detention in prison issued against two 18-year-olds, one of whom was a minor at the time of the alleged offences, who are held jointly responsible for attempted murder, trespass and carrying offensive weapons. The orders, issued by the investigating magistrate at the Court of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto and by the investigating magistrate at the Juvenile Court of Messina, relate to an incident that took place in Milazzo on 2 May, when the suspects violently assaulted a 61-year-old man and his 17-year-old son inside their home. According to the reconstruction of events by the Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Milazzo Company, the two suspects, one of whom has a history of drug offences, allegedly broke into the victims’ home at night but were discovered. A scuffle ensued, during which the 61-year-old and the 17-year-old were stabbed. Investigations carried out by the Carabinieri have led to the identification of the perpetrators of the attack, and the enquiries conducted have also suggested that the motive may be linked to issues relating to the acquisition of drugs.
