Founding a party means giving political participation a form, as the Constitution reminds us. So on October 10 we will present our manifesto. Not to add another political label, but to broaden support for the centre-left. Our proposals on growth, businesses and the functioning of the state speak to centre-left voters who are distant, but also to many moderate voters, disoriented by Vannacci’s extremist drift,” he said. If there are primaries, will you run? Are you ready to challenge Elly Schlein and Giuseppe Conte? “I have made myself available. But they must be open to voters and to those who want to contribute, with rules and a minimum shared platform. The centre-left does not need someone to hold its leaders together. It needs something that holds its voters together. Primaries serve this purpose. We have ideas and we are making them available.” Ruffini added that “on October 10 we will take a necessary step, not to build a centrist list, but to contribute to a centre-left coalition capable of winning and governing.” “Dialogue is open with everyone who cares about building a government different from the current one. The goal is to provide a credible alternative,” he continued, explaining that “an alliance cannot be created to solve an electoral problem. It must arise from a shared project. If there is a serious agreement on Europe, growth, equality, education, healthcare and work, a common path can be pursued. Alliances are built around what needs to be done, not around rules to be overcome.” According to Più uno, “Italy does not need more taxes but needs to grow and make better use of the resources that already exist. The money we already have is more than enough for a country with less inequality and more growth. Every euro of public money that does not produce a result is a euro taken away from schools, healthcare, law enforcement and businesses. Our first proposals will be devoted to the latter.”
