Turin, 27 Sept. (LaPresse) – A third managerial change in Serie A. Following Fiorentina and Bologna, Parma have also changed their manager, announcing the sacking of Carlos Cuesta, despite the victory secured on the last matchday of the league season in the head-to-head clash against Genoa. “Carlos Cuesta is no longer the manager of the men’s first team. Following internal discussions between the club and the manager, it was agreed that the conditions for the parties to continue their professional relationship no longer existed, particularly with regard to the development of the sporting project,” the Emilia-based club explained in a statement. “In fact, the necessary conditions for continuing the work undertaken were no longer in place, and this mutual decision was reached.” Tomorrow afternoon’s training session, on Monday 28 September, “will be led by the club’s coaching staff, pending further developments regarding the new head coach,” adds Parma “President Kyle J. Krause, CEO Federico Cherubini, the sporting director and the entire club extend their heartfelt thanks to Carlos Cuesta and his staff for these past months of work, commitment and dedication shown every day, and offer their warmest wishes for a future – both professional and personal – full of satisfaction and success,” the club added.
