Kathmandu (Nepal), 27 Sept. (LaPresse/AP) – An avalanche has swept away a group of Nepalese citizens on Mount Himlung in Nepal. At least two of them have died, whilst 12 others are missing. Mount Himlung is a 7,126-metre peak situated in the central-northern part of Nepal. Rescue workers in helicopters have transported two bodies and 10 survivors to a nearby town. The search for the missing is expected to resume at first light tomorrow. The authorities had warned of adverse weather conditions across the Himalayan nation over the weekend. It has been raining throughout Nepal since Thursday, with snowfall in the northern mountainous regions.
