Turin, 28 Sept. (LaPresse) – Ukraine will agree to cease attacks on Russian refineries, but only if Moscow also agrees to the energy truce. This is reported by the Kyiv Independent, citing an official who stated that Kyiv has not yet given its consent. Recently, US President Donald Trump reiterated his call to Volodymyr Zelensky to scale back Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries. On 14 September, Trump stated that Kyiv and Moscow had reached an agreement on a ceasefire in the energy sector. Neither side has confirmed the agreement, nor has either halted attacks on energy infrastructure. Zelensky has repeatedly stated that Kyiv is ready for a ceasefire if the Kremlin agrees to honour the agreements made.
