Actor Russell Brand in court to answer rape allegations

London (UK), 2 May (LaPresse/AP) – Actor and comedian Russell Brand has arrived at a London court to answer allegations of rape and sexual assault against four women. Brand, 49, is at Westminster Magistrates' Court for his first hearing since being charged last month. The alleged crimes were committed between 1999 and 2005: one in the English seaside resort of Bournemouth and the other three in the Westminster area of central London.
