Rome, 28 Sept. (LaPresse) – Whilst the Interior Ministry’s Eligendo portal has yet to publish the first results for the by-election in the single-member constituency of Reggio Calabria, Governor Roberto Occhiuto has posted a video on social media showing Forza Italia’s leadership announcing victory. “We’ve won!” shouts the mayor of Reggio Calabria, Francesco Cannizzaro, who left his seat in the Chamber of Deputies to don the tricolour sash of mayor. “We’ve won by a landslide,” echoed Occhiuto before embracing the newly elected Fabio Roscioli. Also present were Forza Italia’s Senate group leader Stefania Craxi and the party’s senator Claudio Lotito, president of Reggina football club.
