Turin, 28 Sept. (LaPresse) – Tehran “categorically rejects and strongly condemns the recent unfounded and malicious speculation published by certain individuals and British media outlets, which seek to link Iran to the arrest of five suspects near the Fairford air base”. This is according to a statement from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic in London, as quoted by The Guardian. “The dissemination of such unfounded speculation, particularly in the wake of the criminal acts of aggression committed by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Iranian people, will serve no purpose other than to fuel anti-Iranian propaganda in the United Kingdom,” the statement reads. “The Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to take, where necessary, appropriate legal measures to safeguard the rights and interests of the country and its people in response to misleading and harmful media narratives,” the statement adds.
