Milan, 28 Sept. (LaPresse) – Giuseppe De Bellis has been appointed editor-in-chief of *Il Sole 24 Ore*. The publishing group announced this in a statement. De Bellis takes over the role vacated by Fabio Tamburini. “The Board of Directors has also unanimously resolved to confirm Fabio Tamburini in his role as Editorial Director of the Il Sole 24 Ore Group,” the publishing group’s statement continues. Giuseppe De Bellis, 48, a professional journalist, has extensive experience as an editor-in-chief, gained across a wide range of media: print and digital newspapers, magazines, television and new multimedia platforms. Throughout his career, he has combined his journalistic experience with increasing responsibility for leading editorial teams, products and complex publishing organisations, building a profile that combines editorial vision, innovation and managerial skills. In July 2025, he took up the post of Executive Vice President of News, Sport & Entertainment at Sky Italia and Editorial Director of Sky TG24, overseeing Sky Italia’s entire content offering – from news and entertainment to the Sky-branded channels TV8 and Cielo and their associated digital properties – whilst placing the integration of the group’s various editorial, production and creative divisions at the heart of his remit. At the helm of Sky TG24 since 2019, under his leadership the channel has accelerated its transformation from an all-news channel into a multi-platform news organisation, integrating television, the web, apps, social media and events. Previously, De Bellis was editor-in-chief of GQ Italia, the Condé Nast magazine, and worked for 15 years (2001–2016) at the daily newspaper *Il Giornale*, where she honed her skills, eventually becoming deputy editor and then co-editor. Throughout her career, De Bellis has received numerous awards and honours, including the Ambrogino d’Oro and the Ischia Prize for journalism.
