Turin, 29 Sept. (LaPresse) – FIFA has accused UEFA of waging a “disinformation campaign” in an attempt to influence the presidential elections and, in particular, Gianni Infantino’s bid. In a letter sent to a court in Florida, in response to UEFA’s request to a US federal court for access to witness statements and documents to be used against Gianni Infantino following the collapse of his plan to create a company called FFE (FIFA Forward Enterprise) to manage the commercial rights of the World Cup, the world football governing body highlighted that UEFA’s submission contains “numerous false or misleading statements about FIFA and Infantino. Without any basis, UEFA insinuates that Infantino sought to derive personal profit from the FFE project”.
