This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at a press briefing on the sidelines of the Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum, held at La Nuvola in Rome. “I said that three people had been convicted because that is the scope of the judgement; I did nothing more than describe the judgement. I said that what the Court in Rome has established is not enough to uncover the truth; we must press on. I have never wavered on this, but acting with discretion does not mean failing to act,” argued Tajani, who added: Yesterday’s ruling is “a limited one because it does not tell us who Regeni’s killers are, and we want this matter to be fully clarified; we have never given up”.
