Milan, 29 Sept. (LaPresse) – Defence Minister Guido Crosetto visited the ‘Celio’ Military Hospital in Rome today to see two of the four Italian soldiers wounded in Friday’s incident in Latvia. The Minister – according to the Ministry of Defence – wished to meet them in person, check on their condition and convey the support of the Government, the Ministry of Defence and all the senior leadership of the Armed Forces. “I wanted to see our servicemen in person and check on their condition. At times like this, I feel even more keenly the responsibility we have towards those who wear the uniform and carry out their duty, both in Italy and abroad. Our full support goes out to them and their families, with our best wishes for a swift and full recovery. The Ministry of Defence is and will remain by their side,” said Crosetto, who thanked the servicemen for their service and their daily commitment to serving the country.
