(LaPresse) – Manchester City’s chief executive, Ferran Soriano, has stated that the Premier League’s allegations against the club are based on “a single false accusation: that the owner’s personal funds had been channelled into the club covertly via certain sponsors in Abu Dhabi. “None of this is true whatsoever.” Soriano once again referred to the “irrefutable evidence” cited by City in the statement issued yesterday, in an internal video addressed to club staff – obtained by Sky News – in which he explained in detail why he believed the verdict to be wrong.
