Rome, Oct. 1 (LaPresse) – “What Meloni is preparing to impose on Parliament is a law that we consider unconstitutional, yet another abuse of procedure, an attempt to introduce the premiership indirectly through ordinary legislation. It is unacceptable to change the rules by majority vote just a few months before the election.” AVS leader Nicola Fratoianni said this on the sidelines of an event at the Senate’s parliamentary acts room in Piazza della Minerva in Rome. “Is there a risk that the law could be rejected by secret ballot? We are ready to go to the polls at any time,” the leader of Sinistra Italiana replied, stressing that “the sooner they leave Palazzo Chigi, the better, not for us, but for Italians who can no longer cope with wages remaining stagnant, while inflation continues to rise sharply even in these hours. A change of course is needed, and an alternative is needed.” “If the electoral law falls, that is good news because it prevents an unconstitutional electoral law and also because this paves the way for elections,” Fratoianni concluded.
