Flydubai flight, media: “Co-pilot posted on social media about killing Jews”

Rome, Oct. 1 (LaPresse) – The Omani co-pilot accused of stabbing the pilot aboard a Flydubai flight had discussed the killing of Jews on social media, according to an Israeli official quoted by The Times of Israel. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added that the attacker asked Emirati crew members to kill him, referring to conversations they had with passengers during the flight. “He was someone who intended to commit suicide,” the official said. “His social media profiles clearly indicate that he had been radicalized by jihadist ideology. He talked about killing Jews.”
