Palermo, 2 Oct. (LaPresse) – Searches are currently underway in Palermo and Rome at the offices of the former vice-president of the Sicilian Regional Government, Gaetano Armao. Officers from the mobile squad, acting on a request from Palermo’s public prosecutor Maurizio De Lucia, are combing through the offices of the administrative lawyer, who is also the husband of Giusy Bartolozzi, the former chief of staff to Justice Minister Carlo Nordio. The investigation by the Palermo Public Prosecutor’s Office is said to concern the Sicilian Regional Government’s specialist technical committee for environmental authorisations, of which Armao was chairman until last August.
