Rome, 4 Oct. (LaPresse) – “Today, Friedrich Merz and I had a very productive meeting. There is a new aid package for Ukraine, a comprehensive package worth over 1.3 billion euros.” This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who explained that the aid includes weapons and “support for our energy sector ahead of winter”. “We discussed,” he added, “the need for air defence, which is crucial at this time. “The total value of our agreements today exceeds 8.5 billion euros,” Zelensky then added, referring to “15 agreements and documents”, most of which concern “cooperation on security, production, relevant procurement contracts, our orders for German industry and joint projects in Ukraine”.
