Milan, 4 Oct. (LaPresse) – “Turkey are an excellent side with very strong players; we performed well in the first leg and tomorrow it will be down to us. It won’t be a straightforward match.” So said Italy manager Roberto Mancini speaking to Sky Sport on the eve of the match against Turkey, the fourth Nations League fixture scheduled for Monday in Bologna. “They’re a strong side; it won’t be easy. Montella will still be a friend, though,” added the Italy manager, referring to the Turkey manager who is at risk of being sacked. “For us, the important thing was to instil confidence in the lads and make them believe in themselves; they’re good players and we’re gradually getting there. We’re pleased with the results because it’s not nice to keep making the fans suffer,” Mancini added.
