(LaPresse) – “Faced with the challenges currently facing the world of work, particularly those posed by developments in artificial intelligence, it is more crucial than ever to keep the focus on the irreplaceable centrality of the human person and on the inalienable dignity of work; indeed, work ‘is not merely a tool, but expresses and enhances the dignity of our lives. It is a need inherent in the human condition, an ordinary path towards maturity, development and personal fulfilment’”. So said Pope Leo XIV whilst receiving representatives of the Association of Lay Vatican Employees and the Association of Women in the Vatican in audience.” “Those who, in various capacities and with different duties,” the Pope emphasised, “are called to collaborate through their work in the Pope’s ministry constitute an ecclesial community, participating, in a spirit of faith and unity, in the one and universal mission which the Lord Jesus entrusted to the Apostle Peter and his successors.”
