Rome, 6 Oct. (LaPresse) – CONI President Luciano Buonfiglio and FIGC President Giovanni Malagò have reached an agreement under which the Italian Football Federation will be placed under administration, with Malagò himself to be appointed as the new administrator. The agreement was reached at a meeting held ahead of the emergency session of the National Executive Committee and will be put before that committee, which will be called upon to deliberate ahead of the next National Council meeting. This should thus prevent any rifts within the executive of the National Olympic Committee following the split and the battle over legal opinions that ensued after Malagò’s failure to register with the FIGC.
