Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said this during the weekly cabinet meeting. The Times of Israel reports it. The “reference scenario” defined for the IDF regarding the West Bank “envisages that preparations must be made for the possibility of an attack by jihadist elements against settlers and IDF soldiers, as a lesson drawn from the events of October 7,” Katz told ministers. “In such a case, war would be declared on the Palestinian Authority and the IDF would launch a full-scale offensive in accordance with a detailed plan formulated and approved by Prime Minister Netanyahu and me, based on the principles outlined for the IDF,” he added.
