This emerged from the statement issued at the end of the meeting, which focused on strategic choices for the future of the competition. “The owners of the clubs present agreed to proceed with the conversion of the current ten-year licenses into franchises for the thirteen ECA shareholder clubs: Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, CSKA Moscow, Armani Olimpia Milano, FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich, Fenerbahce Istanbul, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Athens, Real Madrid and Zalgiris Kaunas,” the statement said. “The clubs agreed to continue the process of expanding the number of franchises.
