Turin, 7 Oct. (LaPresse) – The shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz deemed illegal by Iran will soon be completely closed. This was stated by Mohammadreza Naqdi, an adviser to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, to the Fars news agency. Naqdi explained that the transit corridors were created by blowing up and damaging some of the rocky passages in the strait and have been used by small vessels engaged in oil smuggling. “Soon, a limited number of routes that the offenders have created by blowing up and destroying some of the rocky passages in the Strait of Hormuz will be blocked,” he added.
