Rome, 9 Oct. (LaPresse) – “Will the Como v Roma match produce an ‘anti-Inter’ team? Why aren’t we talking about ‘anti-Roma’ or ‘anti-Como’? Why do we always talk about ‘anti-Inter’? We’re well aware of who we are, and that to make the most of our competitiveness, we’ll have to fight. We don’t need anyone to hang a medal round our necks or place a crown on our heads; we have to fight to achieve everything that’s being said out there.” So said Cristian Chivu, Inter’s manager, at a press conference on the eve of the Serie A match against Parma. “It’s too early to talk about certain things; only five league matches have been played. We want to be competitive, and that’s all we should be talking about, not other things,” he added.
