Our aim is to support young people, so that Christian families have the necessary assistance to remain in the Middle East and maintain a Christian presence.” So said Pope Leo XIV at the Synod of Bishops of the Greek-Melkite Church of Antioch. In his address, the Pope highlighted the commitment of those present in places where “the faithful are beset by war, unrest, religious extremism and economic hardship”. “The entire Catholic Church stands with you,” assured Prevost.
