Rome, 12 Oct. (LaPresse) – The condition of Davide Iacopini, who was attacked by a group of youths in a minicar in Monteverde, Rome, whilst riding a scooter and fell against a parked car, hitting his head, remains stable. The patient – as highlighted in the medical bulletin from San Camillo Hospital – is continuing his post-operative recovery with good overall stability in his vital signs, consistent with the severity of his initial post-traumatic injuries. On Friday night, he underwent a second neurosurgical operation. The operation, carried out by the Neurosurgery Unit team led by Professor Riccardo Ricciuti, was a complete success. The patient is currently in the ‘Shock and Trauma’ Intensive Care Unit headed by Dr Emiliano Cingolani and still requires intensive monitoring and treatment, which will be adjusted and, if necessary, scaled back over the coming days based on clinical needs. The prognosis remains highly uncertain.
