Rome, Oct. 13 (LaPresse) – “Today, in the Council of Ministers, Autonomy takes a decisive step forward: we have signed the final agreements with the four regions that embarked on this process, approving the final agreement schemes and adopting the respective bills for Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont and Veneto. This is an important institutional step and, above all, a decisive one for the reform, which is now ready to begin its parliamentary journey.” Regional Affairs and Autonomy Minister Roberto Calderoli said this, commenting on the approval of the final agreements by the Council of Ministers. “Guaranteeing additional forms and specific conditions of autonomy for the regions is not only one of the cornerstones of the programme with which the centre-right won the elections, but above all a historic battle for the League that has never been so close to becoming reality,” Calderoli stressed. “We have worked hard on this, with conviction and without stopping, and now the result is closer than ever. There is one final stretch to cover in Parliament, and I can’t wait to get started.”
