Frankfurt (Germany), 15 Oct. (LaPresse) – “I was convinced of his talent right from the start. Nicolò has an extraordinary ability to finish, especially in the penalty area. This convinced me straight away that he had the potential to make his mark even at the highest levels.” Stefan Leitl, current manager of Hertha Berlin and former manager of Hannover 96 – the club where he coached Nicolò Tresoldi from 2022 to December 2024, giving him his professional debut at just 17 years of age on 15 July 2022 against Kaiserslautern – told LaPresse. Leitl said he was not surprised by the rapid development of the striker, now at Club Brugge, who scored a hat-trick on Tuesday in the 4–3 victory over Inter in the Champions League. “It doesn’t surprise me. Even at a very young age, he played many matches in the German second division, thereby gaining valuable experience. The subsequent move to a top-flight club was, in my view, exactly the right step for his development. The fact that he is now making his mark in the Champions League too is a testament to his qualities and his potential,” he explained. As for the striker’s next steps in his development, Leitl emphasised: “Nicolò essentially possesses everything that sets a top-class striker apart. In a team with players of great individual quality, he can measure himself against the best every day and thus take further important steps forward in his development.”
