Rome, 15 Oct. (LaPresse) – The ceremony planned to commemorate the victims of the massacre at the “Le Constellation” nightclub will no longer take place on 1 January in Crans-Montana, but in Grône, a town some 30 km away. Swiss media report this, explaining that the decision was taken following a request from several families who – according to Keystone-ATS – felt that an event held directly in the town where they had gathered for days whilst waiting for their loved ones would be too emotionally charged and evoke too many memories. According to Christophe Darbellay, President of the Valais cantonal government, around 800 people will attend the ceremony in Grône, including survivors, relatives of the victims, rescue workers and Swiss and foreign authorities.
