Rome, 16 Oct. (LaPresse) – Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was caught up in an attack carried out by dozens of masked Israeli settlers against Palestinian farmers who were harvesting olives near Ramallah in the West Bank. The woman – as the American newspaper explains – was wearing a protective vest marked ‘Press’ but was thrown to the ground, kicked repeatedly and robbed of her cameras and mobile phone. Levine was subsequently taken to a hospital in the Ramallah area. The reporter said she had been overpowered by a group of attackers, struck and thrown to the ground. A video filmed by another journalist shows her being struck repeatedly whilst on the ground. “They kept kicking me, non-stop,” Levine told reporters.
