Rome, 16 Oct. (LaPresse) – Before arriving in Nola for the launch of his book, M5S leader Giuseppe Conte met with striking lorry drivers on the provincial road near Maddaloni. According to M5S sources, the Movement’s president listened to their concerns and discussed the most pressing issues and the measures deemed necessary by the workers. “I will not let your voices and your urgent concerns be swept under the carpet by this government,” Conte assured them. “Many of you are being crushed under the weight of fuel costs,” he added, noting that “this is one of the country’s most pressing emergencies, as are the difficulties being faced by farmers, who, like you, are also taking action at the moment.” Joining Conte in the M5S delegation were MPs Carmela Auriemma and Dario Carotenuto, MEP Danilo Della Valle and the regional coordinator for Campania, Salvatore Micillo.
