The first half was entertaining, with plenty of chances at both ends. The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute through a thunderous strike by Pobega, who came close to doubling the advantage with a scrappy effort that hit the crossbar. Before the break, however, the Nerazzurri levelled the score with a powerful header from Thuram following a cross by Barella. In the second half, Chivu’s substitutions once again proved decisive: Carlos Augusto scored the go-ahead goal from close range in the 24th minute after a low cross from Zielinski, while Bonny sealed the win in the 39th minute at the end of a fine team move, following a pass from Carlos Augusto.
