Naples, Oct. 21 (LaPresse) – Traffic disruptions linked to the road hauliers’ protest against high fuel prices are continuing this morning in Campania. Long queues of heavy goods vehicles have been reported on the A1 Milan-Naples motorway, in the Caserta Sud area. The protest is also affecting the A30 Caserta-Salerno motorway, where roadblocks and queues were reported in recent days near the Nola toll booth. The protest is continuing despite yesterday’s meeting in Milan between Infrastructure and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini and representatives of the sector. The government has announced the release of 480 million euros for the sector and further measures, with a new meeting scheduled for October 27. The Sicilian Transporters’ Committee has announced the cancellation of its stoppage, although some roadblocks remain active on the island. In Campania, however, the protest has not stopped.
