Washington (US), 22 Oct. (LaPresse) – Iran has been “hit hard, and we could keep doing so for a while longer”. Donald Trump made these remarks whilst speaking to journalists at the White House. As for the impact of the war on the upcoming mid-term elections, the US president stated: “There is a price to pay; I was aware of that from the moment I made this decision, but we cannot allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon. In short, in some respects people may not be enthusiastic about it, but many – many great patriots – are truly pleased. It is something that other presidents should have done a long time ago.”
