Rome, 23 Oct. (LaPresse) – “This match means a lot; it’s an important fixture. It’s always Napoli v Roma. Roma have been doing well since last year; they’ve qualified for the Champions League and are hot on the heels of the top spot. Gasperini is doing an excellent job; they’re a team full of enthusiasm and with good technical ability.” So said Max Allegri, Napoli’s manager, on the eve of the clash against Roma at the ‘Maradona’. “So it’ll be tricky and difficult, but it’s important because, after three matches with two wins and a draw, we slipped up in Venice, and it would be good to get back on track in the league, knowing that it won’t be easy and that it’s not the last match of the season that decides whether you qualify for the Champions League or not, or whether you win the league or not. But we’re in eighth place and we need to improve in the areas where we’re most lacking on the pitch. For example, when we don’t have possession, they get too deep into our half; we need to improve on that, and then we need consistency through our results – it’s only with a run of wins that you can get back on track,” added the Livorno-born manager.
