This registration comes in the wake of the controversy that led to the Italian Football Federation being placed under special administration. The elections for the FIGC presidency have been set for 14 December by Malagò himself, who is currently the sole candidate. The Serie A League is set to confirm its full support for his re-election as president of the federation. Malagò is a member and honorary president of the Aniene Rowing Club.
