Milan, 24 Oct. (LaPresse) – Leaders of the broad centre-left coalition have agreed to meet next week to begin work on a programme for the next general election. According to sources within the centre-left, Elly Schlein, Giuseppe Conte, Angelo Bonelli and Nicola Fratoianni have spoken to arrange the meeting. “I am happy and relieved that Schlein and Conte have agreed to meet as early as next week to begin discussing the development of the programme. Our appeal to start this process has been accepted, and I am pleased. This is what Italians are asking us to do”, said Bonelli of Avs. “In the face of the deep social, economic and climate crisis that is making Italy and Italians poorer, and a war that causes deaths and enriches the arms industry, we have a duty to build an alliance to save and change Italy. Forward together”, Bonelli added.
