Tehran, May 5 (LaPresse) – Iran has called "groundless" the accusations of being behind the raids carried out by the Houthi rebels of Yemen. The statement from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs comes after the Houthis claimed responsibility for launching a missile that hit Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the repeated unfounded claims that attribute to Iran the courageous actions of the Yemeni people in self-defense and support of the Palestinian people as an insult to this powerful and oppressed nation," said Tehran's diplomacy, adding that "undoubtedly, the actions of the Yemenis in support of the Palestinian people were an independent decision, stemming from their sense of human and Islamic solidarity with their Palestinian brothers and sisters."
