Milan, 26 Oct. (LaPresse) – “I extend my warmest congratulations to my friend Matteo Salvini, who has been re-elected as leader of the Lega, a key component of the governing coalition in Italy. This renewed vote of confidence is a testament to his unwavering commitment to defending the interests of the Italian people. In six months’ time, if the French people so wish, we will have the opportunity to strengthen an ambitious dialogue and give new impetus to Franco-Italian cooperation.” So said the leader of the Rassemblement National, Marine Le Pen, on X. The League’s Deputy Prime Minister replied to the post with this comment: “Merci mon amie (Thank you, my friend, ed.)! Thank you for your kind words and your friendship! Let us move forward together for a Europe of free and sovereign peoples.”
