Milan, 26 Oct. (LaPresse) – The Government is “open to institutional dialogue, by convening this body” – that is, the State-City Conference, which is “the existing forum” for “institutional dialogue”. This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a letter to ANCI President Gaetano Manfredi following the appeal made by the Mayor of Naples himself and nine other centre-left mayors, in which she emphasised that she “does not understand the point of the controversy surrounding the request” because “both you and I have a responsibility, when it comes to institutional dialogue: to involve all mayors”, whilst “a request signed by mayors from a single political party does not represent that wider group”.
