Rome, 27 Oct. (LaPresse) – Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has criticised the move by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to telephone Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I don’t know what they think they can achieve by doing this. We in the rest of Europe have already made it clear, when others have travelled to Moscow on their own, how important it is that we Europeans remain united. Many of us have fought for this over all these years,” she said, according to reports in the Copenhagen media. In a press release from the Finnish President’s Office, the two leaders made it clear that they were not speaking on behalf of Europe.
