Washington (USA), Oct. 27 (LaPresse) – DNA testing has linked serial killer Ted Bundy to the death of a teenage girl in Utah. Authorities announced the findings more than 50 years after a hunter discovered the young woman’s body. Bundy died in 1989, but the number of his confirmed victims continues to grow thanks to advances in DNA testing. In the 1970s, he killed at least 30 women and girls in several states, while many others managed to escape or survive, despite suffering injuries. The Summit County Attorney, CNN reports, said investigators are certain that Bundy was responsible for the 1974 murder of 17-year-old Melissa Ann Smith, a case that remained unsolved for a long time. Bundy was executed in Florida in 1989 by electric chair after being convicted of the murders of two women in 1978 at the Chi Omega sorority house at Florida State University.
