U2 recently celebrated the band’s 50th anniversary on Friday, September 25, with a special concert dedicated to students and teachers at Mount Temple Comprehensive, their former school, and with a surprise performance on Grafton Street in Dublin. With preparations for The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour already underway for 2028 as well, the band is eagerly looking forward to its major return to Ireland. “We can’t reveal much yet about the next leg of The Greatest Show On Earth: we’re still working out the details. But there is one thing we can say: we will end the tour in Ireland. There is nowhere else we would rather be to celebrate,” The Edge said.
