Kyiv, Nov. 1 (LaPresse) – “We are preparing a trilateral format involving Ukraine, the United States and Russia for the first half of November.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in a post on X, reporting on his talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “We discussed the prospects for this format and other possibilities, including ways to involve Turkey and all of Europe, as well as the possibility of holding meetings here in Turkey,” Zelensky explained, reiterating the statements he made to the press alongside Erdogan. “Strong decisions are needed to bring peace. At every level, signals must be sent to Russia that there is no alternative to peace and that support for Ukraine will not diminish,” the Ukrainian president added. “This is even more important considering that a humanitarian operation took place in Oleshky, in the Kherson region, in recent days. And this clearly demonstrates that steps towards de-escalation are possible when Russia is placed in a position where it has to take steps in this direction,” Zelensky concluded.
