Milan, Nov. 1 (LaPresse) – Yamaha has informed MotoGP Group of its decision “not to participate in the 2026 Qatar Grand Prix. This decision reflects Yamaha’s assessment based on the information currently available and is independent of the measures taken by MotoGP Group and the event organiser”. This is stated in a statement issued by the Japanese team, which “following a recent assessment of the situation in the Middle East, has found no sufficient grounds to change the travel restrictions currently in force at corporate level”. “Yamaha confirms its full commitment to MotoGP and aims to return to racing at the Portuguese Grand Prix”, the Japanese team concluded.
