Rome, 2 Nov. (LaPresse) – “I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the State Police for the large-scale operation carried out across the whole country against youth crime, which has led to hundreds of arrests, thousands of reports filed and the seizure of large quantities of drugs and weapons. This is a significant achievement, the result of extraordinary work in prevention, monitoring and combating illegality, which confirms the daily commitment of our law enforcement agencies to ensuring citizens’ safety and restoring law and order to our communities.” So said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. “We cannot resign ourselves to the idea that violence, oppression and crime become normal behaviour, especially amongst the youngest members of society. The State is here and will continue to act with determination to combat all forms of illegality and ensure citizens’ right to live in safe cities and neighbourhoods. My thanks go to the men and women of the State Police for their professionalism, dedication and the invaluable work they carry out every day in the service of the nation,” concluded the Prime Minister.
