Budget bill, Salvini: “I’m the leader of the League and I knew nothing about cuts to schools”

Rho (Milan), Nov. 3 (LaPresse) – “I knew nothing about it, and I’m the party leader.” This is what Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini said on the sidelines of the opening of Eicma, responding to a question about whether it was strange that he was unaware of the cuts to education planned in the budget bill, despite the League holding the position of Minister of Economy. “Certainly, cuts to the education sector at this time are something we need to reflect on, and the League will put forward some proposals.” But you didn’t expect this, did you? “No, I knew nothing about it,” but “I repeat: Parliament is there to intervene wherever it considers intervention necessary.”
