Rome, 4 Nov. (LaPresse) – Donato Ferdori, the Italian citizen detained in the West Bank by the Israeli authorities on 29 October, has been released by the Israeli authorities and has crossed the Taba border crossing into Egypt. This has been confirmed by sources at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who state that the Israeli authorities, in agreement with their Egyptian counterparts, will escort him to Cairo airport, from where he will depart tomorrow, 5 November, for Rome. Five Italian activists were detained on 29 October whilst taking part in the Palestinian olive harvest campaign: four were ordered to be deported immediately, whilst Ferdori had initially decided to go through the Israeli legal process.
