Rome, 5 Nov. (LaPresse) – Wizz Air confirms that today’s flight from Milan Malpensa to Bucharest Otopeni was the subject of a bomb threat. As the aircraft was already approaching its final destination, the airline explains that no diversion was necessary and the flight landed safely at Otopeni Airport. The relevant authorities carried out the necessary security checks, in accordance with established protocols and procedures, and subsequently authorised the aircraft to resume operations. This incident is part of a series of similar bomb threats that have affected several airlines across Europe in recent days. Wizz Air is not the only airline to have been targeted: other carriers have also received threats that have led to flight diversions and security checks. Wizz Air “is cooperating fully with the relevant authorities and is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of everyone on board. The safety of our passengers and crew members remains our top priority,” the airline explained in a statement.
